Who we are

About Nathan

Nathan Sato, M.S., CCC-SLP, is the founder of Heritage Speech and Sound, a boutique speech-language pathology practice serving families in Bay County.

Nathan brings experience across medical, school, and private practice settings. He has worked in adult rehabilitation hospitals, served students in the public school system for over a decade, and has additional experience working within insurance systems. This background allows him to guide families not only through therapy, but also through the practical decisions surrounding services and support.

Nathan and his wife also served as foster parents in Bay County for nine years. This experience shaped his commitment to supporting families with practical, compassionate care and clear communication.

His clinical interests include speech sound disorders, comprehensive evaluations, orofacial myofunctional therapy, and complex cases requiring careful clinical analysis. He especially values taking time to understand each child’s individual needs and helping parents understand the "why" behind recommendations.

Nathan enjoys studying the Japanese language and believes that careful study and continual learning are essential to good clinical practice.

Heritage Speech and Sound reflects his belief that therapy should be thoughtful, individualized, and grounded in both clinical excellence and genuine care for families.
